Introduction by Richard Lancelyn Green

The author L.W. Bailey contributed to the Baker Street Journal and served at Station X at Bletchley Park. He has turned his attention to problems and possibilities found in the Canon, notably in "A Scandal in Bohemia" (which he has dubbed "an enigma, rapped in a mystery"). He writes with wit and humour. In his Introduction, Richard Lancelyn Green suggests that Holmes "would undoubtedly have enjoyed the book and would have been flattered and impressed by these scholarly and entertaining ‘attacks of Sherlockhomania.'"
